Storyteller at Heart
My name is Daniel, and I have Cerebral Palsy - but I do not let this define me. I am a poet, music maker and a short story writer who also writes articles; creativity is my strength, as I am a member of the Lichfield Poets, West Bromwich Writing Group, and I make music too.
My passion for writing poems, began in 2017, and I used it to help me on my path of recovery from alcoholism. I have since published, ‘View from a Wheelchair’, and curated a poetry anthology, which has helped to raise money for Birmingham Dogs Home, where I also participated as a judge for their ‘Pawsitivity’ poetry competition. My poetry is uploaded on to my YouTube channel, accompanied by my own music.
Along with my poetry achievements, my passion for writing short stories grew in 2020. I love to write murder mystery and crime stories, but I am not limited to this, as I also enjoy romance and comedy genres. I also started writing articles in 2021, and have had an article published on Unchained Wisdom
In addition to writing and making music, I have been playing Powerchair Football since 2007. I have previously played for England, and I currently play for Villa Rockets.

This is the first poetry collection by me. It’s a selection of poems written over 6 months, and coincided with recent events. These poems are thought provoking, appreciative and positive. You can either buy it from Amazon, by emailing me directly or by using the chat function on this website.
Keep on walking even when you can't stand, one steady step at a time is enough to carry on.
